Chambers & Crops Demo Update 0.2



Howdy everyone!

It’s been some time since the last update. This one brings improvements to Aboveground exploration, full controller support, enviromental changes, and some quality-of-life changes, adjustments, and fixes. Here’s what’s new:


Aboveground Update

  • Added a new Village enviornment with additional resource spawn points
    • The Rogue NPC is now a permanent resident of the Village with his own dedicated shop
  • Added day/night cycles
    • Depending on the time of the day, player, object, and the enviorment will have visual changes
  • Added additional music tracks to Aboveground

Controller Support

  • The game now supports controllers without a keyboard and mouse
  • Interactable objects will be automatically targeted when the player is nearby. If multiple interactable objects are within range, the closest object will be prioritized
  • While using weapons in combat, the attack direction will automatically target the nearest enemy to the player. This auto-aim feature can be overriden at anytime using the right joystick

Quality of Life

  • Higher tier Water Cans and Hoes can now affect a larger area of farmland
    • Water Can and Hoe descriptions are updated to reflect the area they can affect
  • Add a Quick Stack and a Move All option to Storage Chests
    • Quick Stack: Move all matching items in the Inventory to the opened Storage Chest
    • Move All: Move all items in the Inventory to the Storage Chest. Matching items will be moved first
  • Items picked up by the mouse will be automatically dropped when the inventory is closed
  • Updated Crop growth logic. Crops now can grop passively when the game is closed

Adjustments

  • Increased building placing speed
    • Building should be placable when the input is held down rather than needing to repeatedly hit the place button
  • Slightly increased Crop growth time
  • Updated Tool descriptions to reflect their rarity
  • Updated item stack count to 999
  • Adjusted some environmental objects to allow buildings to be placeable on the upper tile of a Tree
  • Adjusted the materials required to unlock the waystone in Grassland

Other

  • Added an option to delete save file and backup files
  • Added a report option when the options menu is opened
    • This option will required mouse & keyboard

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that causes keybind to resets to "Any Key" when an going rebind operation is cancelled
  • Fixed cancel key and existing keybind conflicting issue when rebinding keys
  • Fixed sometimes keybinds cannot be be saved
  • Fixed an issue that caused weapon slot unable to be selected in some cases
  • Fixed save files can sometimes be overriden with an empty save file
  • Fixed some resources (such as Trees and Ores) can spawn on top of Berries
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Buildings to be placed as soon as it's selected on the Building Menu
